Yorkshire batting coach Kevin Sharp is a master at understanding the complex psychological thought processes needed by the modern sportsman. He often writes useful tips on how to mentally prepare for batting, tailor made for the individual, on post-it notes attached to their cricket kit. Occasionally the players will accidentally throw them in the bin, rip them up or partially burn them in a nearby ashtray.
